Genesis Chp 4 Verses 4-5

Gen 4:4 And Abel,^H1893 he^H1931 also^H1571 brought^H935 of the firstlings^{H4480 H1062} of his flock^H6629 and of the fat^{H4480 H2459} thereof. And the LORD^H3068 had respect^H8159 unto^H413 Abel^H1893 and to^H413 his offering:^H4503

Gen 4:5 But unto^H413 Cain^H7014 and to^H413 his offering^H4503 he had not respect.^{H8159 H3808} And Cain^H7014 was very^H3966 wroth,^H2734 and his countenance^H6440 fell.^H5307

Fat: cheleb chêleb, kheh'-leb, khay'-leb, From an unused root meaning to be fat; fat, whether literally or figuratively; hence the richest or choice part: - X best, fat (-ness), X finest, grease, marrow.

Respect: shâ‛âh, shaw-aw', A primitive root; to gaze at or about (properly for help); by implication to inspect, consider, compassionate, be nonplussed (as looking around in amazement) or bewildered: - depart, be dim, be dismayed, look (away), regard, have respect, spare, turn.

Ever thought, Why did God have respect for Abel’s offering, the word respect is something what we have when one of our friend breaks a can on his forehead, this respect is more than that, God was kinda surprised, Abel gave his best, so did Cain, but God chose Abel’s, Cain through his own hard work, toiling, his sweat gave his works, had God to honor that, then it would mean its through hard work you can get God’s blessing, whereas Able did something which was never done before, gave the choicest part of the animal to God as an offering, or wait, it wasn’t done before? Wrong, it was, I bet Adam must have told his kids over a million times why they got kicked out of the best place and what God did for them, Able must have thought, if God gave my folks skin to wear, it must be the best. Able did something which earned him God’s respect.
