Genesis Chp 8 Verses 7-9

Gen 8:7 And he sent forth^{H7971 (H853)} a raven,^H6158 which went forth^H3318 to and fro,^{H3318 H7725} until^H5704 the waters^H4325 were dried up^H3001 from off^{H4480 H5921} the earth.^H776

Gen 8:8 Also he sent forth^{H7971 (H853)} a dove^H3123 from^{H4480 H854} him, to see^H7200 if the waters^H4325 were abated^H7043 from off^{H4480 H5921} the face^H6440 of the ground;^H127

Gen 8:9 But the dove^H3123 found^H4672 no^H3808 rest^H4494 for the sole^H3709 of her foot,^H7272 and she returned^H7725 unto^H413 him into^H413 the ark,^H8392 for^H3588 the waters^H4325 were on^H5921 the face^H6440 of the whole^H3605 earth:^H776 then he put forth^H7971 his hand,^H3027 and took^H3947 her, and pulled her in^{H935 (H853)} unto^H413 him into^H413 the ark.^H8392

Raven: Omnivorous and highly opportunistic: their diet may vary widely with location, season and serendipity. In some places they are mainly scavengers, feeding on carrion as well as the associated maggots and carrion beetles. Plant food includes cereal grains, berries and fruit. They prey on small invertebrates, amphibians, reptiles, small mammals and birds. Ravens may also consume the undigested portions of animal feces, and human food waste

Dove: Seeds and fruit form the major component of the diet of pigeons and doves

Both the raven and dove were sent out with one purpose, only the dove chose to come back, above you can see the diet composition of both the birds, while the former consumes literally anything, the latter is quite rigid in its dietary choice, why did the raven not come back, imagine the amount of dead bodies that must have floated above, it must have been the raven’s thanksgiving day, the dove on the other hand chose to come back for the only reason that it did not find a clean place to rest on, we are sent on planet earth with one common aim, are we like the raven settling for anything and everything or like the dove discipline to what we have been taught and unfaltering towards what we have been sent forth to accomplish.
